The scenic river valley with 60 meter high slopes is dotted with fantastic lime rock formations, some as tall as 50 m or even more. There are also about 220 caves, often easily accessible, where numerous species of bats live. Beginnings of nature conservation in the area go back to 1924. The Ojców National Park was established on the initiative of Prof. W. Szafer. The Prof. W. Szafer Museum was opened in 1965 and houses a rich collection of numerous objects from the Park. Participants will visit the Prof. W. Szafer Museum, some caves and the ruins of the medieval Ojców and Pieskowa Skała castle, now a museum of historical interiors.
